Another first

My story Absolutely Nothing is in the current issue (no 15, out 24th July) of In The Moment magazine. Of course I’m always very pleased to have a story published, but it seems extra special when it’s the first acceptance from that publication.

The story is about someone who didn’t want a fuss made made over her ‘big’ birthday, and sort of got what she wanted. I reached the same milestone as Helena not so long ago and like her didn’t fancy a big party. Thankfully I didn’t have to go through such an ordeal to get my wish.

With Love And Kisses

I’ve just released another themed collection of short stories. With Love And Kisses, as the title suggests, contains romantic stories.

Isabelle was dared to go in search of love, Julia attempts to win it, and Beverly searches in the small print. Anne puts on a lavish dress, Angie dons a nice new waterproof jacket and Tracie removes her clothes. All of them want the same thing – to love and be loved. Others use more extreme methods in their quest for romance; marriage brokers and weird dogs, historic ships, even stolen magic dust.

Thomson Twins

I currently have two stories in magazines published by DC Thomson. One of those Coloured Vision is in The Weekly News – the first magazine to ever send me an acceptance.

Growing Closer is in the 7th April issue of The People’s Friend – my first ever publication with this magazine. As the title suggests, it involves gardening.

Lots of my stories have a plant or gardening theme. So many that I’ve produced three collections of them, each containing 24 stories and plan to release another this year. The current titles are – Over The Garden Fence, Through The Garden Gate and Up The Garden Path.

They’re all available as paperbacks or ebooks and can be read for free with kindle unlimited or borrowed from some UK libraries.
