There are seven floors to Tattershall Castle, accessed by spiral stairs. Obviously we climbed them all, looking at the stained glass, tapestries and magnificent fireplaces on the way up. The decorations are a big clue to how behind these posts are!

See that church, visible from the roof? On our way to the castle we noticed they were selling tea and home made cakes. We promised ourselves that as a reward after our climb – but they’d sold out!
